VJTI TBI Foundation, a Section 8 company, situated at Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute incubates startups in the areas of Energy, EV, AI/ML, IoT, Cybersecurity and Semiconductors. Located in the vibrant city of Mumbai we are looking at supporting early-stage startups in their journey from ideation to scale up and have nurtured more than 60 startups in their entrepreneurial journey.

Qualification

Master’s degree in Science / Engineering or relevant domain, preferably with MBA.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Designing & managing Incubation and Acceleration programs.
  • Qualify and evaluate applicants and support selected start-ups for creativity, innovation, acceleration, and investment stage.
  • Manage the day-to-day interaction with the start-up incubates and support them for fundraising activity.
  • Ensure tight management of milestones and progress of entrepreneurs and start-up companies.
  • Understanding of basic finance and accounts, grant management, and PFMS reporting.
  • Preparing presentations and reports for Board Meetings.
  • Coordinate with PI-Coordinator, CEO, Members of Steering Committee, Outreach Manager, and Finance Officer to ensure smooth operations of the incubator.
  • Undertake other relevant activities of the incubator as are assigned by the CEO, PI-Coordinator or Members of Steering Committee.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience of working with entrepreneurs, start-ups, designing quality learning programs for incubates, incubator or incubation consultancy.
  • Desirable: Demonstrated ability to cultivate, build and maintain strong working relationships with start-ups, entrepreneurs, mentors, universities, research institutions, industry experts, associations, chamber of commerce & industries, state & central government, and angel investors.

Qualification

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Good understanding of the technological entrepreneurship ecosystem in the areas of Energy, EV, AI/ML, IoT, Data Analytics, and related sectors.
  • Qualify and evaluate applicants and support selected start-ups with product development, testing, and validation in the areas of Energy, Cleantech, EV, AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, Data Analytics, and related sectors.
  • Plan, design, and execute innovation-based programs including hackathons, innovation challenges, boot camps, and business pitch events in the above thematic areas.
  • Coordinate with industry and corporate entities in Energy, Cleantech, EV, AI/ML, IoT, Blockchain, Data Analytics, and related sectors for providing products and solutions to incubated start-ups at a pro-bono basis through strategic collaborations.
  • Coordinate with PI-Coordinator, CEO, Incubation Manager, and Finance Officer to ensure smooth operations of the incubator.
  • Undertake other relevant activities of the incubator as are assigned by the CEO, PI-Coordinator or Members of Steering Committee.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience working in academics, research, and development roles in areas including Energy, Cleantech, EV, IoT, Big Data, AI, and Blockchain.
  • Desirable: Established record of organising hackathons, innovation challenges, and publishing research papers including patents (either filed or granted).

Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Finance Management or relevant domain, preferably with MBA / CFA Level 1.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Identify high performing startups to be enlisted into the incubator’s portfolio and support the incubator team to pre-evaluate startups with regard to valuation and funding support.
  • Devise and implement finance strategies and processes of the incubator in consultation with PI-Coordinator, CEO and Members of Steering Committee.
  • Provide advisory and support services to Startup companies.
  • Support start-ups on their business and financials when needed and create timely portfolio reports.
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of Startup companies, including regular update reviews and other key performance indicators.
  • Facilitate investments and support start-ups in their fundraising.
  • Deal scouting and analysis for new investment and incubation opportunities.
  • Ability to attract CSR funding from Corporate and relevant entities.
  • Coordinate with PI-Coordinator, CEO, Members of Steering Committee to ensure smooth operations of the incubator.
  • Undertake other relevant activities of the incubator as are assigned by the CEO, PI-Coordinator or Members of Steering Committee.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of experience working in strategy, sales, investments, or program management roles is desirable.
  • Excellent spreadsheet and financial modelling skills with knowledge & understanding of financial technology / financial inclusion sector.

Qualification

Master’s Degree in accounting or financing or relevant domain.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and appropriate recording of disbursements of funds; maintaining the set of books required according to organisational and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and recording of financial transactions, prepare and submit a regular report on an annual & quarterly basis including budget revisions based on corresponding line-item budgets approved by Host Institute (HI) and other grant agencies.
  • Preparation of payroll and general voucher of salaries and other documentary requirements for disbursements.
  • Manage entries of expenditure and other relevant details on PFMS portal. Ensure data is regularly updated on PFMS portal.
  • Establish a record of management system for the project both in paper and electronic.
  • Ensure all compliances with applicable internal and external requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, ensure timely filing of all Compliances and Returns.
  • Undertake other relevant activities of the incubator as are assigned by the CEO, PI-Coordinator or Members of Steering Committee.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in finance, accounting and administration, preferably in an Incubation Centre or similar setting.
  • Desirable: Work experience in start-up eco-system.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategy for outreach, hunting, attracting and on-boarding deserving and qualified innovative entrepreneurs and start-ups from identified domains/sectors.
  • Develop and execute media strategies, including social media, and creating engaging content for various platforms. Monitor and analyze social media performance.
  • Preparing and sharing reports about various programs, campaigns and events.
  • Daily management of marketing channels, executing paid, social media and content distribution campaigns keeping a close eye on performance metrics and related budgets.
  • Bring new ideas and support inbound and outbound lead generation campaigns, events, bootcamps, etc.
  • Coordinate with PI-Coordinator, CEO, Incubation Manager and Finance Officer to ensure smooth operations of the incubator.
  • Undertake other relevant activities of the incubator as are assigned by the CEO, PI-Coordinator or Members of Steering Committee.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in Marketing and Communications, Promotional campaigns of large projects, Marketing and communication network management, social media and content distribution campaigns.
  • Work experience in marketing, marketing channel‐partner relationship management, awareness campaigns to promote tech‐projects, tech‐incubation/ tech-startups.

Qualification

Diploma in Engineering or BSc./ BCom/ BBA/ BCA or equivalent.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Ensure proper documentation related to VJTI-TBI are maintained in hard files (update to be given weekly).
  • Coordinate with CEO and Finance Officer in submitting and collecting relevant documents related to VJTI-TBI from Auditor's Office and other Government Offices (update to be given monthly).
  • Scanning and documentation of financial documents and submission of same to Finance Officer (update to be given weekly).
  • Maintenance of register assigned for consumables, branded items at VJTI-TBI (update to be given monthly).
  • Coordinate with CEO and Incubation Manager to call, discuss and collect relevant data from startup incubatees (update to be given monthly).
  • Coordinate with PI-Coordinator, CEO, Incubation Manager and Finance Officer to ensure smooth operations of the incubator.
  • Maintain Asset Register.

Experience

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience.

Salary
