VJTI-TBI organized its first Boot Camp for the applicants of Cohort-1 of Incubation Program. The event was organized in the newly constructed Krantijyoti Savitribai Phule Auditorium on October 5, 2019 and witnessed a participation of more than 60 entrepreneurs and start-ups from VJTI and around Mumbai and Pune.
The Boot Camp was organized with a goal to train the shortlisted applicants of Cohort-1 of Incubation Program in various aspects of preparing a good investible business plan. The event witnessed six experienced Speakers from Industry, Venture Capital, Legal and Start-up ecosystem.
The event started with a welcome address by Prof. Faruk Kazi, Coordinator, VJTI-TBI followed by a short description of VJTI-TBI and its planned activities by Dr. Roshan Yedery, CEO, VJTI-TBI. This was followed by a talk by Mr. Ankur Dubey, Vice President, Nirvana Ventures on ‘Creating an investible business plan’. This was followed by a talk by Mr. Amar Merani, CEO, Xander Finance, who spoke on ‘Seeking funds for your enterprise’. Later Ms. Nupur Bolangady, Chief People Officer, Gomoo (a travel startup) discussed on various aspects involved in ‘Building a winning Start-up Team’.
In the post lunch sessions, Mr. Yesudas, Co-Founder, Y&A Transformation, was the first speaker who shared with the audience the philosophy of ‘Go to market strategies for entrepreneurs’ in an engaging manner. This was followed by a talk by Mr. Vatsal Bavishi, Investment Director, Cornerstone Ventures, who focused on ‘Scaling your business’ which was very helpful to many participants. The Boot Camp ended with an engaging session on ‘Protecting IP for your technology’ delivered by Mr. Abhishek Pandurangi, Partner, Khurana and Khurana Advocates.
